Advisory Portfolio Management

We offer an independent ear and an opportunity to discuss your affairs in confidence

Is this service suitable for me?

You are willing to put your capital at risk
You are able to invest for five years or longer
You wish to make your own decisions
You are looking to invest a minimum of £50,000
Farley & Thompson’s Advisory Portfolio Management service is designed for investors who want to be actively involved in the decisions that underpin their
investments. It is suitable for individual clients, as well as corporate and pension investors.

Our investment managers can advise you on a wide range of UK equities, fixed-interest securities and collective investment funds. Their recommendations are fully personalised and they will be carefully tailored to your situation and objectives.

How does it work?

The service begins with a no-obligation meeting. This will help us to understand your financial aims and get to know your circumstances. It will also help you to establish your attitude to investment risk and capacity for loss. We will use this information to create an investment proposal and a suggested scheme of investment, typically providing exposure to a range of asset classes and world markets. Once complete, you will receive a comprehensive report with our recommendations.

What does advisory management involve?

The Advisory Portfolio Management service includes access to a named investment manager, who will work closely with you to provide support and guidance for your investments. However, the decision to invest remains with you at all times and we will only take action with your agreement.
Once your portfolio is established, we will continue to help you monitor your investments. We will also provide you with routine updates, including any recommended changes. Keeping in regular touch ensures our recommendations remain suitable to you, your investment objectives and your financial circumstances.
To facilitate portfolio administration, including dividend processing and dealing with corporate actions, all securities in the Advisory Portfolio Management service will be held in our nominee and you may elect to receive a regular income from your investments.
Whatever goals and priorities you have for your investments, we are committed to helping you achieve your objectives and to building a lasting relationship with you.
